Iran Public Health School, From the Eyes of our Previous Participants

as public health is somehow neglected in dental practice I’ve always wanted to improve my knowledge about this field to make a change. this course was different from usual courses we attend at university or other classes …  it was practical and new…I mean it was not like boring school classes … using new methods made this course different…now at the end of the course I feel that I’ve learned something and so I achieved my desired result.

Well, now it’s a year and half since I’ve seen IPHS poster for the first time. for me IPHS was a good chance to learn many things like advertising models, working with different peoples, providing clip and educational materials, team work, being flexible during working, even taking photos! I am so glad to meet professional trainers and learning of them. I think if someone wants to learn, IPHS is the best place.

I appreciate all members and friends I met in IPHS, specially the chairman Dr. Parnia for his support, I’ve learned many useful things from him.

Thank you 🙂

I remember the first day one of my friends showed me the IPHS advertisement and sent me the link. It seemed a great recommendation because it gave me the opportunity to meet new friends, learn something and a great teamwork experience. Honestly, my main purpose was the on campus part of IPHS and unavoidably I had to take part in the online course first J
The most significant two results of the course for me was that I understood quizzes can always be so much more difficult than what we expect; and when I and someone in my age, read an identical text, we can have two absolute different interpretation of the same sentence J
I would recommend this course to all of my friends and hope dear admins solve the small mentioned present problems for next courses.

When I first came across the course I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn about public health and at such a great university. Previously, I did not study public health and I find it a useful topic to know and understand, especially how it relates to other sectors such as food and nutrition. I also wanted to try a course at an excellent university that would challenge me. For these reasons, I chose this course.
The program seemed like a neat interactive fit of videos, forums, and whiteboards. The thorough introduction of the course made me believe it would be a good program. The brochure clearly outlined the objectives of the course and the background of the teachers. Seeing the pictures and hearing about the previous years also helped me see what the outcomes of the course were. (more…)

I must confess I had no idea what public health actually was before this course. I just heard the word and didn’t think it had anything to offer me, a medical student. Well, I was wrong.
Participating in this course, I learned a lot. Most importantly I got to know what public health is. I found it fascinating and effective on people’s lives. It even changed the way I did some of the things. Alongside, it was something different. I’ve never participated in an online course before. This was the first time but definitely not the last.
The two must significant results from this course were how it affected me in my personal life (it made me more thoughtful of what I did in my everyday life) and how it affected my idea about my future carrier.
Lastly if a participant is doubtful about joining or not, I would definitely recommend them to join. I may even force people into joining, since I believe they won’t regret it.
Thank you IPHS team. This was an experience to remember!

3 months ago I was to choose a way to spend my summer time useful.  I have become familiar to this school by one of my friend who was at the past school and appreciate me to join to this group.
Now I feel happy about my decision because the group and online courses seem so powerful and there were not any deficiencies.
Public health has an extensive sides and this is why I like to know more about it.
For those who are not sure to join, I advise them as a small part of this great school, If they want to enjoy a real challenge with a group of alert students, and use their free summer time in a best way, there are nothing better than this courses in our country.
Thanks for your organized system and memberships.

I was always looking for learning ways to make my knowledge practical and experience different situations. I got familiar with this course through my mother. I understood that so many great persons with lots of experiences have contributed to this program and I have a good chance communicate with them and learn a lot. In these 3 weeks, I learned different things about public health and actually my mind and the way of thinking has been stimulated and concerned with the topics and I think this would be very important in my future as a member of the health system.
